Holidays are always a fun time of the year, but some things we may not realize can be bad for our critters. Here are a few of the most common holiday plants and foods that can be harmful to pets:

  • Alcohol
  • Amaryllis
  • Chocolate
  • Garlic
  • Holly
  • Lily
  • Mistletoe
  • Onion
  • Poinsettia
  • Xylitol (Sugar substitute)
  • Raisins
  • Grapes

There are many other hazards for pets during the holiday season. Be careful to watch your pet closely if children receive toys with small parts.
